A corporate leader at the age of 33 without an MBA degree. A great articulator and a greater thinker, we add. This man, V.R. Ferose who is currently heading the globalization services organisation of SAP AG joined the organisation in 1999 as a developer and within 3 years, rose to become a development coordinator. In October 2003, he was elevated to become a Development Manager and donned that role for two years, until he was hand-picked as the Executive Assistant to Board Member Gerhard Oswald in Sep 2005. At the age of 33, he was made the Managing Director of SAP Labs Gurgaon. He can proudly be seen as one of the youngest Managing Directors of a Global Multi National Corporation (MNC) in India. He went on to manage SAP Labs, Gurgaon and Bangalore, overseeing a staff of nearly 5000. Prior to joining SAP, Ferose worked with Ramco Systems as a developer (HRMS) for 2 years. He graduated from the National Institute of Technology(Warangal) in 1997 with a B. Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
He firmly believes in innovation. During Ferose’s first twelve months as head of SAP Labs India, his employees successfully implemented a total of fifty-two new morale-boosting projects which includes reimbursement within 24 hours for an employee filing an expense claim and a day-care for working mothers. He is the brains behind identifying the amazing skills that individuals with Autism possess and providing them with employment opportunities within SAP. Sports, literature, theatre and administration are his passions. He is in the process of writing his first book called ‘Defining moments’.
This introvert, who transforms himself into a day-time extrovert loves meeting people and engaging with them because he believes that is true learning.
He is someone who doesn’t shy away from performing a Dabang act or flying down as Spiderman in front of his employees on the Annual day. Truly, a people’s leader, we say.
Mr. Ferose currently resides with his wife and son in Bangalore.
