A pun-tastic tweeter and a very forward entrepreneur- we would like to add. Born on October 19, 1968 in Chennai, Mr.Ramesh Srivats is a marketing guru who re-imagines brands for the digitalized world. After having completed his schooling from one of the best schools in Chennai, DAV Gopalapuram, he went onto complete his engineering from IIT, Madras and his MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad.
Ramesh, the punwit, best followed on twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/rameshsrivats) with over 80K followers and still counting captures the flavor of the moment within 140 characters. He is currently ranked 6th in his current location (Bangalore) on twitaholic. His tweets have won him the Best Indi Microblog award. Recently, Times of India called him one of the stars of virtual India who have a role in shaping the discourse of the day in the Twitter world. His blog “Short Puts” is a compilation of his tweets that gives you a twitrospective look at news headlines. This occasional writer started blogging in early 2008 at ‘Let’s Put Da’ that initially gave him a tribe that transferred onto his other social media interactions.
He has worked as Associate VP at J. Walter Thompson and as Executive VP & Managing Partner at Rediffusion DYR. He later went on to co-find Hungry And Foolish Creative Products India Pvt. Ltd with a friend in July, 2008. He specializes in brands & communication and has 18 years of experience in brand building and idea management. He has worked with a wide range of product categories including telecommunications, alcoholic beverages, carbonated soft drinks, tea, financial services, information technology, office equipment, FMCG, real estate, insurance & banking.
Currently, he is the MD and CEO of TenTenTen Digital Products Private Limited that was founded in April 2011. TenTenTen Digital Products creates cool apps that help cool brands connect with cool customers. It creates custom applications on the Internet & mobile that adds value & excitement to its clients’ brands. The applications will use the power of social networks to get people to spread the word. TenTenTen combines the brand & consumer insights of traditional agencies with the technology & social media knowledge of digital agencies, to provide Marketers with apps that are useful, fun and always cool. TenTenTen also creates tools for Marketing Managers to help them monitor their brands on the net, interact with consumers on social media and use technology in better ways. One of the projects of this company, Tripalong was an idea that was conceived and executed for MakeMyTrip to help people find old friends and make new ones while traveling. Today, TenTenTen employs 12 brains and is based in Bangalore.
